Every day, a few more monarchs seem to flutter by. Maybe you've spied a monarch caterpillar chomping milkweed. Or even discovered a chrysalis dangling from a fence beam?
Log those discoveries each day during national pollinator week, June 21-27. Your observations will help us create a Solana Beach Monarch Count for our community and support the Mayors’ Monarch Pledge.
You can capture your monarch observations in a photo, in a drawing, or just by taking notes. Please note the day, date and time when you saw the butterfly, caterpillar or chrysalis. Add where you spied them, if you can: Did the butterfly land to sip sugary nectar from a flower? Can you identify the flower or plant?
At the end of the week, send your Monarch Count diary to email@example.com, or log-in as a site member and add your observations in the comments section (below).
We will tally our community’s observations and share them with the San Diego Pollinator Alliance.
